It's summer

I just came back from the beach where I had some red wine and cheese with crackers with my longest friend ever (we've known each other since we were 5 years old). Here are some pictures using the retro camera app...

I should be reading about creating a sustainable water infrastructure for a presentation next week, but I am doing something much more productive: my 3rd blog post. During my "lunch break" today I came across this great website iphoneography.com. Great tips on iPhone apps and iPhotographs.

A lot of reading to catch up on!

iPhone Camera apps: Retro Camera

I am on a quest to find the best iPhone Photography apps out there (preferably free). I'm not going to lie, I haven't had time to search the interweb to find the best there is; however, this blog will motivate me (hopefully) to find and share with you the photo apps I find. Currently, I have four photography applications on my phone. One of them is the Retro Camera Plus by Urbian, Inc (a free app, I might add). Camera Facts - Colour Saturation: Low; Colour Contrast: Neutral; Contrast: Medium.
I L-O-V-E the shadowy photographs it creates.

First Blog Post

So recently I’ve come across many of my friend’s blogs and thought how cool it would be to have one. However, I’ve never considered myself “creative”. I’ve always had to fight to jot down my ideas and thoughts.

So yesterday I was thinking about my love for photography and my endless love, particularly, for my iPhone 4 camera. The pictures are just so crisp, clear, and amazing. Therefore, I decided to create a blog just to share my iPhone photographs I feel are extraordinary (for me at least).

This fun gadget has made me a novice photographer who definitely does not miss any opportunity to "iPhone cam-it". So what makes the iPhone camera so money? According to apple.com, the magic lies within the  “Retina Display”. Its high pixel density (326 pixels per inch) creates for your A-W-E-S-O-M-E pictures. Another cool fact is the iPhone cam glass is made from the same materials used in helicopters and high-speed trains (I love public transit) creating a durable, oil-resistant coating which keeps the screen clean (nobody likes cloudy, “dirty” –looking pics). The iPhone Retina Display also uses IPS (in-plane switching) technology allowing you to take “smooth” pictures at every angle. Not really sure what apple means with the iPhone technology description on its website, but all I know is I’ve fallen in love – perhaps until I decide to fall in love (purchase) a professional Nikon.

This picture is one of my first faves I took @ the Standard Hotel Rooftop Bar in downtown LA.
